As the 2025-2026 academic year comes to a close, the Burns Wellness Commons has announced the list of intramural sports being offered beginning in the fall semester. The regular favorites such as volleyball, basketball, and pickleball will make a reappearance with several new offerings being added to the 2026-2027 calendar. From paralympic sled hockey to competitive cooking to skijoring, next year’s intramural offerings will be an adventure to say the least, but perhaps the most intriguing of these new offerings is Medieval Tournament Jousting.
Using the newly built stables between Pine Lane and Chester Creek, the BWC will be supplying warhorses, plate armor, and lances to prospective knights. Interested parties will have their pick of armor between Milanese and Gothic style on a first-come first-serve basis.
The deadline to sign up for this exciting new sport is September 1st, with the first tournament scheduled for the weekend of September 31st.
